The domestic non – governmental humanitarian organization IFS – EMMAUS and Football Club Željezničar signed a Memorandum of cooperation which will be implemented through projects such as the BiH Homeless football team, Boarding accommodation for children from rural areas of Srebrenica, International youth working camp ” Srebrenica, road to new Europe “, and projects for youth and other humanitarian actions. With the Memorandum of Cooperation is agreed that Football Club Željeznicar will be involved in these projects in accordance with its capabilities and will invite the youngest beneficiaries of IFS-EMMAUS services to be guests at one of the home matches of the Premier League. The Memorandum was signed by the director of the Football club Željezničar Mirsad Šiljak and director of IFS-EMMAUS Hamzalija Okanović.
“We express great gratitude to the management of Football Club Željezničar, that decided to support projects of IFS-EMMAUS within the framework of its prominent human activities and socially responsible work. We are glad that we will have a renowned sports collective like FC Željezničar as our sports ambassador with the hope that this is just the beginning of a long-term cooperation, ” said Okanović.
In this way, the circle of sports clubs and individuals in which from earlier were the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FC Sarajevo, and football international Muhamed Bešić with whom IFS-EMMAUS already cooperates on youth-oriented projects, has been expanded by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation with one of the largest sports collectives in BiH.
